Be Still, Little Star

2016

《她也曾筑起堡垒》

Be Still, Little Star was born at a threshold moment —When I had just stepped into the world, yet still clutched the delicate ember of who I was. This piece is a portrait of that quiet vigilance: the instinct to hold oneself close, to guard something unnamed but scared.

Painted in a palette of earth-warm reds and soft gold, the figure folds inward, yet glows from within. There is no fear, only careful attention — a knowing that not everything must be revealed to be real.

This was before blooming.

Before language.

Before I knew what I was protecting — only that I must.

Looking back, Be Still, Little Star feels like a first prayer: not for success, or recognition, but for the strength to remain intact. To stay soft, even in a world that demands armor.

请温柔地靠近她,她不是在抗拒你,她只是在学习如何不再害怕。
